Weeding my thoughts

A friend tells me that he makes all of his important decisions while visiting a cemetery.  He says that location puts everything in perspective for him.

Another friend uses what he calls “the rocking chair test” whenever he is faced with a difficult decision.  He sits in his rocking chair and imagines himself as an old man, nearing the end of his life.  As he sits and rocks, he contemplates his life and asks himself how this decision will affect the course of his life and what meaning it will have for him in his old age.
