Gracing the gray-crowned

Beautiful people have an easier time in this world. Doors magically open upon their approach. Choice dining tables become available when they arrive. Discount store employees actually lead them to the shelf containing the one inch PVC elbow connectors. These actions are all in marked contrast to those visited upon lesser mortals. To whit: “Open the door yourself Bub”, “We’ll seat you here, next to the deep fat fryer”, and “It’s somewhere over yonder in hardware, plumbing, electronics, or seasonal.”

Unfortunately, I know of the beautiful people’s advantages strictly as a well-trained observer; never as an actual beneficiary. As with most of my epiphanies, my question is “Yes, but how does that apply to birds?” I’ll admit I do not know the answer to that query. Do good-looking birds have it better? If so, it must be glorious to be a Gray-crowned Rosy-finch.
