Join in the annual June festival celebration which will feature movies about the Lewis and Clark 1804 expedition, an appearance of buckskinners in frontier dress, bluegrass music and historic presentations. A major attraction at this annual event is the full-sized reproduction of Lewis and Clark’s keelboat, Discovery, constructed by local volunteers and park staff.

Last fall volunteers counted over 1,000 migrating eagles, a HawkWatch record. Hitchcock has been recognized as one of the top 5 HawkWatches in the world for viewing migrating bald eagles & November is the ideal time to view these majestic animals on their journey south. The Annual Festival will also include live raptor demonstrations from Raptor Recovery NE, activities for children, scheduled programs, and refreshments. Festival Cost: $3.00 per person. |
