An arial view of Gambell village as our plane takes off to the north. You can see a bit of the near boneyard just above the engine housing. The north end of Troutman lake fills the right edge of the frame while the 'airport' building watches over the airport ponds where we've seen so many great birds. Siviquq Mountain dominates the eastern skyline and forms the backstop at the top of this photo.
