This male Ruff is certainly proud of himself. His display of color and behavior were a big hit with our entire tour group. You can see the vermiculated ruff in this close-up view. Well not really close-up, but as close as I wanted to get––I wasn't going to be the one to chase these amazing birds away before other birders coming to see the Ruff spectacle arrived.
